Tow it on

Saturday started out early, with sun as we left for Kent to pick up Wirbelwind from the guys at Torklift Central. Richard came with Q and I in “the funny car”, an early 2000’s model Subaru Outback with 136k miles on it. It was complete with power windows, seats and locks as well as wood grained trim on the inside dash and door panels. Ooooh! While much different than what I’m used to driving and a bit larger it was like they said easy to drive and reliable. Although at 60 mph the road noise is a little loud of my tastes.

Enough of the loaner car, on to the hitch! Well, it looks great!!  Truly, it does. While it’s not completely hidden they did a great job of blending it into the rear of the car so it doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb. The receiver is 1.25″  and can support 100 pounds. I’m excited about this as we have been considering a bike for Q. There are some great places around here to bike and it would be fun to take him.

Here’s a link to EcoHitch for MINI, at least where it will be soon.
