Hello! I hope that everyone had a great New Year’s and aren’t too hungover on this Jan 1st. Richard, Kami and I had a great dinner at a place in Sequim called Alderwood Bistro. We had heard about it, but never eaten there before, so we thought new year’s eve dinner would be a good trial run. The food was quite good and cooked over a wood fire/cookbox. We even got an extra treat in the form of a parsnip silk mousse topped with pomegranate seeds. We had a flat bread with pears, blue cheese, and pomegranates to start. Richard did a meal flight, which included an appetizer, main and dessert for one price. His appetizer had great presentation, so I took a photo of it. For dinner I had grilled lamb, which was amazing(picture before). For dessert both Kami and I had creme brulee. I would have taken a picture of it but unlike the other dishes, there was nothing really special about how it looked. However, it tasted amazing and we’re pretty sure they used a healthy dose of real vanilla bean.
