Here’s some pictures I took with my phone over the course of the day. Although it’s hard to tell snow is falling in both of them. I think you can actually see it a little better in the afternoon shot. The first one was taken in the morning, shortly after Richard left for work. The second one was taken mid-afternoon.
Finally, we have today(or for those of you viewing this sometime later the day after)! Looks all bright and sunny like it should be warm, but actually it was about 17 F out.We had to dig out the car and put on the chains. The weather conditions stayed about that way all day. Although it never got above freezing. Interesting kick off for Thanksgiving weekend. All those school kids who wanted a longer holiday sure got their wish this year. We’ll see how they feel when school is still in session come late June and it’s starting to get warm out.
Our Thanksgiving festivities were not interrupted as a result of the freak snow storm. This was good since everyone counts on us to bring delicious pies. 🙂 Plus we weren’t sure what we were going to do with all the pie makes we had already bought. It’s like like the two of us can eat 8 pies. 😛 Upon arrival in the Edmonds area, we quickly realized that aside from steep icy hills the residents of Seattle didn’t really have much snow to complain about.
Dinner was good and as always it was nice to see everyone.
