We had our first Christmas party last weekend in Bothell. It was nice to see everyone and enjoy food. Our white elephant exchange was different from others I have done, but still fun to see what everyone unwrapped. Quince scored a Star Wars lunch box from Uncle Dave’s elephant gift. It is a great drum, chew toy and push toy.
Our next Christmas celebration took us to Tacoma for the annual event hosted by Mike and Alicia. As usual the house is decorated, although slightly less than in most years. We’ll cut Alicia some slack this year since she’s 7 months pregnant. 😀 It was fun watching Eli open and want to play with each and every single gift. While he was busy, Quince wanted to play with all the paper. By play I actually mean eat. His favorite thus far is the water wienie stocking stuff he got. Alicia bought a reindeer pajama set for him and Eli to wear. We were never able to get pictures of them in front of the tree together however we did get some of them in the red wagon on our walk. 🙂 Much to all of our amusement, a very excited Eli caused Quince make a face that said “What the hell is it?”. He got used to some of the energy level and really wanted to play whenever Eli would sit down and play with his trains. Eli wasn’t really thrilled to share anything train related though. It was fun to watch the to of them interact and we’re looking forward to seeing them as they grow up.
Our next celebration will be on the 28th when my sister and Ben come into town. Richard and I are going to host a dinner here for everyone.
Also, due to illness we have pushed back our trip to Victoria. We’re hoping to make it at the end of the week. My dad and Joi got a nasty cold which involves a fever. Since Quince just got off antibiotics for an ear infection, I thought we should avoid the chance of getting something else which causes a fever.
An updated version of this post will follow. 🙂
