This is more a Q post than general update. However, since it only covers this years Annual 4th of July Party, I didn’t mark it as just “Q news”.

I digress, on to the party! I would guess that it was smaller than in the past. Although we had good weather, not too hot but clear and partly sunny. We got our usual tent spot on the beach under the tree. It’s become like the favorite vacation cabin to Richard and I.

I took only a few photos mostly because I don’t have a good way to carry a camera/phone as my skirt didn’t have pockets. Next year, making sure to wear something with pockets. I didn’t want to have to carry my phone everywhere, that would get in the way of either my drink or food. Here’s our cheesy pre-party photo. 

Auntie Liz is teaching Q, Eli and Abigail all about Asian roots of food gathering.

Richard is the only one left out in the marshmallow roasting club.

We actually had to wake Q up for the fireworks. With so much going on he never napped that day. He was quite glad we woke him up and here he is holding a sparkler. Uncle Mike is standing ready with more for him. He was so excited by those and the huge fireworks. During those we had one which was more like a giant ground sparkler. Q expecting to see ones in the sky told Mike to try again when that one had  finished. Here Q is helping Uncle Mike carry stuff up from the beach.
